Class Schedule
Winter 2010 Class ScheduleCome join our new Winter Classes! New beginners are welcome. Level 1 Belly Dance: This introductory class provides dancers with the basic elements of Belly Dance. Students will learn
fundamental belly dance technique with an emphasis on flexibility and muscle control.
Upon completion of the course students will be able to understand the general philosophy of the ancient Art of belly dance, adjust to body's 'centre',
and dance posture, be able to perform basic combinations. Dance to Live upstairs studio When: Mondays 6-7 pm
Level 2 Belly Dance: This course continues to develop the foundational technique acquired in level 1. This level will also introduce new movements in belly dance, with an emphasis on the playful folkloric style (balady).
Dancers will be introduced to layering, traveling steps and tightening movements. It will also explore music interpretation, expression, as well as precision and strength.
Completion of level 1 or instructor approval is required. Dance to Live upstairs studio

Level 1 Belly Dance at the Ryerson University RAC
When: Tuesdays 4:45- 5:45 pm
Level 1 Belly Dance at the Koffler Centre for the Arts ** Please wear comfortable yoga clothing. Dance slippers, character shoes, socks or bare feet are fine.
